The 74HC125 is a quad buffer/line driver with independent 3-state outputs controlled by active-low output enable inputs. Each of the four buffers can be independently disabled to high impedance, making it ideal for bus applications and signal isolation. Operating from 2.0V to 6.0V with CMOS-level logic inputs, it features high noise immunity, low power consumption, and robust ESD protection exceeding 2000V HBM.

Why does this need a breakout?
Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping. Ideal for developing capacitive touch sensor applications or other logic circuits without the fine-pitch assembly hassle.
