Low-dropout linear voltage regulator delivering up to 2A output current with fixed 5V or adjustable output (0.7V minimum). Input range of 1.8V to 6V supports multiple power rails. Features ±2% accuracy, 550mV dropout at 3.3V/2A, 70dB PSRR, and 30µA quiescent current. Includes enable, power good, current limit, and thermal protection.

Why does this need a breakout?
This 3-pin SMD package is difficult to hand-solder due to tight pin spacing and thermal requirements typical of power switching applications. A breakout board breaks out each pin to standard headers, enabling reliable breadboard prototyping and reducing cold-joint risk during development without needing a reflow oven or hot air station.
