Single-channel optocoupler with phototransistor output featuring galvanic isolation up to 5 kV. The TCLT1002 integrates a GaAs infrared LED coupled to a phototransistor in a compact 4-lead SOP package. Ideal for switchmode power supplies, computer interfaces, and microprocessor applications requiring low-profile SMD construction with minimal coupling capacitance.

Why does this need a breakout?
This 4-pin SOP photorelay is too small and tightly pitched (2.54mm) for reliable hand soldering or breadboard use. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 0.1-inch spacing, enabling rapid prototyping of optoisolated switching circuits without the frustration of soldering microscopic leads or dealing with isolation requirements.
