Operating from 4.5V to 5.5V, it features separate shift and storage register clocks, direct clear input, and output enable control for cascadable applications. Why does this need a breakout?
The 0.65mm pitch makes hand soldering difficult and error-prone; a breakout board lets you solder standard headers instead.
