Octal transparent D-type latch with 3-state outputs operating at 4.5-5.5V. Features 8 independent latches with TTL-compatible inputs, 21ns propagation delay, and ±6mA output drive capable of sourcing 15 LSTTL loads. Ideal for buffer registers, I/O ports, and bidirectional bus drivers.

Why does this need a breakout?
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board with standard 0.1" headers lets you prototype I/O expanders and logic gates on breadboards without a reflow oven. The compact SSOP package also becomes DIP-friendly, eliminating jumper spaghetti and reducing assembly mistakes during development cycles.
