Features 5A output current, integrated VCE desaturation detection, UVLO protection, active Miller clamping, and open-collector fault feedback. Suitable for motor control inverters, UPS systems, and industrial drives with 50kV/µs common-mode rejection and 200ns propagation delay.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOIC-16W uses 1.27mm pitch and surface-mount construction, making it difficult to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board converts the 16 pins to through-hole connectors, enabling direct breadboarding and eliminating soldering risk during prototyping of real-time clocks, transceivers, flash memory, and gate-drive optocouplers.
