Omnipolar Hall-effect magnetic switch in SOT-23-3 surface-mount package. Detects magnetic fields from either pole and switches output state when field strength exceeds threshold. Ideal for proximity sensing, door/window detection, and position monitoring applications requiring compact, low-power magnetic sensing without polarity constraints.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
