Why does this need a breakout?
The 0.5mm pin pitch on this 20-pin QFN makes hand soldering impractical without specialized equipment. A breakout board breaks out the pads to standard 2.54mm headers, enabling breadboard prototyping and reducing rework risk on dense boards. The exposed pad thermal connection is also properly routed for efficient heat dissipation during development.
