Design a Custom BoardThe BMI088 is a 6-axis inertial measurement unit combining a 16-bit triaxial accelerometer (±24g range) and 16-bit triaxial gyroscope in a single 16-LGA package. Designed for high-performance applications in harsh vibration environments such as drones and robotics, it features SPI/I2C digital interfaces, integrated FIFOs, and excellent temperature stability. Operating voltage range 1.2V to 3.6V with factory calibration.
The 0.5mm pitch and hidden pad geometry of this 16-pin LGA make it impossible to hand-solder or breadboard. A breakout board exposes the I2C/SPI signals to standard connectors, enabling rapid prototyping of 6-axis IMU applications without specialized equipment or reflow soldering.
