ATtiny814 is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller featuring 8KB flash memory, 512 bytes SRAM, and 128 bytes EEPROM, running at up to 20 MHz. It includes integrated peripherals: 16-bit timers, USART, SPI, TWI (I2C), 10-bit ADC, 8-bit DAC, and Peripheral Touch Controller for capacitive sensing. Ideal for embedded control, sensor interfaces, and touch-enabled applications in compact 14-pin SOIC packages.

Why does this need a breakout?
Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping. Ideal for developing capacitive touch sensor applications or other logic circuits without the fine-pitch assembly hassle.
