ATtiny3216 is a low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller featuring 32 KB Flash, 2 KB SRAM, and 256 bytes EEPROM in a 20-pin SOIC package. Running at up to 20 MHz with hardware multiplier support, it includes comprehensive peripherals: timers, USART, SPI, I2C, dual 10-bit ADCs, three DACs, and a Peripheral Touch Controller for capacitive touch sensing. Ideal for embedded control applications requiring low power and integrated analog/digital functionality.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 1.27mm pin pitch makes hand-soldering this 20-pin SOIC challenging and error-prone. A breakout board brings all pins to standard 0.1" spacing, enabling reliable breadboard prototyping and simplifying development of USB-to-UART interfaces without requiring reflow soldering or specialized equipment.
