Adjustable precision shunt regulator with 0.5% voltage tolerance and 2.5V internal reference. Programmable output voltage from 2.5V to 36V with low 0.15Ω dynamic output resistance and 20ppm/°C temperature coefficient. Ideal for switching power supplies, chargers, and precision voltage references with sink current capacity up to 100mA and operation from -40 to +125°C.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
