The 74LVC2G34 is a dual buffer IC with Schmitt-trigger inputs tolerant of mixed 3.3V and 5V logic levels, making it ideal for voltage translation applications. Operating from 1.65V to 5.5V with overvoltage-tolerant inputs, it delivers ±24mA output drive and includes IOFF circuitry for power-down protection. Specified -40°C to +125°C with robust ESD protection exceeding 2000V HBM.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-363 packages are tiny surface-mount devices with 0.65mm pin pitch, making hand-soldering risky and breadboard use impossible. A breakout board breaks out the 6 pins to standard 0.1" spacing, enabling reliable prototyping of MOSFETs, transistors, and level shifters without microscopy or specialized equipment.
