The 74HCT164 is an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register with TTL-level inputs operating from 2.0V to 6.0V. It features two gated serial data inputs (DSA and DSB), eight parallel outputs (Q0-Q7), and an asynchronous master reset. Data shifts on clock rising edges, making it ideal for serial-to-parallel conversion, LED drivers, and display multiplexing applications.
