Precision programmable shunt regulator with 0.5% initial accuracy tolerance, adjustable output voltage from 2.5V to 36V using external resistors. Operates from -40°C to 125°C with low output impedance (0.2Ω typical) and sink-current capability of 1-100mA. Ideal for on-board regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supply applications as a superior alternative to Zener diodes.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
