Current-mode PWM controller for offline AC-DC power supplies in a 6-pin TSOP package. Operates at fixed 65 kHz switching frequency with automatic frequency foldback to 26 kHz and skip-cycle operation under light load. Features auto-recovery timer-based short-circuit protection, over-voltage protection on VCC, adjustable ramp compensation, and 4 ms soft-start. Suitable for TV adapters, set-top boxes, and offline notebook power supplies.

Why does this need a breakout?
TSOP-6 packages like power MOSFETs and high-side switches are difficult to hand-solder due to 0.95mm pitch and tiny leads. A breakout board brings these pins to standard 2.54mm spacing for breadboard prototyping and reliable soldering, eliminating fragile trace connections and enabling rapid circuit testing.
