Design a Custom BoardThe L6562 is a transition-mode PFC (Power Factor Correction) controller IC designed for power supplies up to 300W. It features a current-mode multiplier with THD optimization, precise 1% internal voltage reference, ultra-low startup current (≤70µA), and a totem-pole gate driver capable of 600mA source/800mA sink. Ideal for IEC61000-3-2 compliant SMPS in TVs, monitors, PC supplies, and adapters.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
