Why does this need a breakout?
This 8-pin SOIC package has 1.27mm pitch, too fine for standard breadboards and difficult to hand-solder without proper equipment. A breakout board brings the pins to 2.54mm spacing and adds convenient solder pads or headers, enabling rapid prototyping of isolated amplifiers and digital isolators without specialized soldering skills or adapters.
