Design a Custom BoardThe HEF4021B is an 8-bit static shift register functioning as a parallel-to-serial converter. It features synchronous serial data input, asynchronous parallel load capability, and buffered outputs from the last three stages. Operating across 3V to 15V supply range with CMOS low power consumption, high noise immunity, and Schmitt trigger clock input tolerant of slow signal transitions.
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
