Omnipolar Hall-effect magnetic switch IC in SOT-23-3 package. Detects magnetic field presence regardless of polarity, outputting a digital signal when field strength exceeds threshold. Commonly used in proximity sensing, door/window sensors, and position detection applications with minimal power consumption.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
