ATtiny25 is a low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller with 2KB in-system programmable flash memory, 128 bytes EEPROM, and 128 bytes SRAM. It features a 10-bit ADC with 4 single-ended or 2 differential channels, dual 8-bit timers with PWM outputs, USI serial interface, and internal oscillator. Operating from 2.7-5.5V at up to 20MHz, it integrates on-chip debug, watchdog timer, and brown-out detection, suitable for embedded applications requiring minimal component count.

Why does this need a breakout?
This SOIC-8 package is too small to hand-solder reliably and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board brings 1.27mm pitch pins to standard 0.1-inch spacing, enabling prototyping without specialized equipment.
