Adjustable precision shunt regulator with 2.5V reference voltage and 0.5% tolerance, capable of regulating output from 2.5V to 36V. Features very low operating current (35µA max cathode, 150nA reference), low output impedance (0.3Ω), and excellent temperature stability. Ideal for secondary-side regulation, isolated power supplies, and as a Zener diode replacement in power management circuits.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
