Quad-channel digital isolator using iCoupler technology for galvanic isolation up to 2500V RMS. Supports data rates from DC to 90 Mbps with low power consumption (0.7-31 mA per channel depending on speed) and operates from 2.7V to 5.5V supply. Ideal for SPI, RS-232/422/485, industrial fieldbus, and automotive applications requiring reliable isolation with minimal external components.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOIC-16W uses 1.27mm pitch and surface-mount construction, making it difficult to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board converts the 16 pins to through-hole connectors, enabling direct breadboarding and eliminating soldering risk during prototyping of real-time clocks, transceivers, flash memory, and gate-drive optocouplers.
