Design a Custom BoardThe ACS71240 is an integrated Hall effect current sensor IC for AC/DC current measurement in automotive, industrial, and communications applications. It features a low-resistance copper conduction path with differential Hall sensing for 30A measurement, overcurrent fault detection, and 120kHz analog bandwidth. The device includes temperature compensation and operates on single 3.3V or 5V supply with nonratiometric output for supply noise immunity.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
