Dual 4-stage binary ripple counter with independent clock inputs, asynchronous master reset, and four buffered parallel outputs per counter. Advances on HIGH-to-LOW clock transitions and counts 0-15 for divide-by-16 or any binary module up to 256 with cascading. Operates 2.0V to 6.0V with TTL-level input thresholds and low CMOS power dissipation.

Why does this need a breakout?
Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping. Ideal for developing capacitive touch sensor applications or other logic circuits without the fine-pitch assembly hassle.
