4-to-16 line decoder/demultiplexer that converts four binary-weighted address inputs (A0-A3) into sixteen mutually exclusive outputs (Y0-Y15). Features two active-high enable inputs for control and can function as a 1-to-16 demultiplexer. Operates from 2.0V to 6.0V with TTL-compatible inputs (HCT variant) and includes ESD protection exceeding 2000V HBM.

Why does this need a breakout?
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch traces is difficult without proper equipment; a breakout board with standard 0.1in header spacing lets you breadboard-prototype and test these compact devices easily. Commonly used for I2C/SMBus I/O expanders and mixed-signal microcontrollers, this breakout eliminates fine-pitch soldering and allows rapid iteration during development.
