Each of two independent decoders converts 2 binary address inputs to 4 mutually exclusive outputs, with enable input for demultiplexing capability. AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified for automotive applications, operating -40°C to +125°C.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
