The HEF4047B is a retriggerable astable/monostable multivibrator IC in 14-SO package. Configurable as positive or negative-edge triggered one-shot, or free-running oscillator with output pulse width set by external RC components. Features true and complemented buffered outputs, 50% duty cycle in astable mode, and ESD protection exceeding 2kV HBM.

Why does this need a breakout?
Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping. Ideal for developing capacitive touch sensor applications or other logic circuits without the fine-pitch assembly hassle.
