Operates from 1.7V to 5.5V with 2 MHz clock rate and self-timed write cycles completing within 5 ms. Rated for 1,000,000 write cycles and 100-year data retention with industrial temperature range support (-40°C to +85°C).

Why does this need a breakout?
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
