Design a Custom Board2-Megabit I2C-compatible serial EEPROM organized as 262,144 x 8 bytes with support for Standard Mode (100 kHz), Fast Mode (400 kHz), and Fast Mode Plus (1 MHz) operation. Features 256-byte page writes, hardware write protection, 1 million write cycle endurance, and 100-year data retention. Operates from 1.7V to 5.5V with ultra-low active current of 3 mA maximum and standby current of 3 µA.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
